We want to give you high quality services, with courtesy and respect, and without discrimination.

  • Letting us know if you have a comment (good or bad) about our services.
  • Complaining if you feel unhappy with the way we have treated you. Have you been discriminated against or not treated respectfully?

What Happens Then...?

  • Generally someone in the relevant Council Service will investigate and
    should get at least an initial response within 5 working days.
  • If we can’t get a reply to you within the 5 days we will acknowledge
    and then send you a full reply within 15 working days.
  • If we can’t do this, we’ll keep you informed about how we

If You Are Still Unhappy:

    or your local library or on our website OR
  • Contact your local MP - If you are uncertain who this is we can tell you OR
  • Contact the Ombudsman - an independent person, who can investigate complaints about us. You
    can complain to the Ombudsman yourself or through a local Councillor. Complaints must be submitted in writing. We have forms at the Town Hall for doing this.
