Chesterfield Borough Council has prepared and submitted to the Secretary of State a planning document called the Core Strategy. This sets out the strategy for development across the borough until 2031 and identifies which broad areas are suitable for development. It is a 'Local Development Document', the first part of the borough’s Local Plan. An independent inspector has been appointed to carry out a public examination and report on the Core Strategy.
