The Environmental Protection Service receives approximately 1000 complaints every year which relate to noise nuisance. The most common complaints are about disturbance from neighbours, such as loud music and televisions, barking dogs, vehicle repairs and DIY noise. Other complaints we investigate include amplified music from licensed premises, burglar alarms, car alarms, construction site noise, industrial noise and noise in the street such as from ice cream vans and car alarms.
