State of the Borough

A census has taken place in this county every 10 years since 1801. The latest took place in March 2011, however this data will be unavailable until summer 2012.

This State of the Borough report draws mainly on the Census 2001 data, with updates where they are available e.g. Index of Multiple Deprivation 2010 and the Health Profile 2010.

Wherever possible comparisions are shown with Derbyshire County Council, the East Midlands and England. All the information provided is at Ward level. There are 19 Wards in Chesterfield.
