Flytipping

The Council is responsible for removing fly tipping from the highway and council land to which the public are entitled to have access.

Reports of fly tipping are given a high priority and offending items will usually be removed within 1-2 days. Where evidence is found that links the dumping to an individual or business the Council will take enforcement action. The maximum penalty for offenders is £50,000 and/or 5 years imprisonment.
