Who co-ordinates a response to a flooding event?

Derbyshire County Council is the Lead Local Flood Authority who is responsible for co-coordinating a response by local authorities and the emergency services during a major flood event.

What does Chesterfield Borough Council do in the event of a flood warning?

The Borough Council provides empty sand bags (on a self-fill basis) which can be collected from the Town Hall to assist residents in preparation for a flood event.
