Chesterfield Townscape Heritage Initiative
Chesterfield Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI) seeks to regenerate the historic and architectural value of target buildings in the town centre. It is a grant scheme for properties in a target area of Chesterfield town centre that looks to repair and regenerate both the historic fabric and the economy of the town centre. For further information please see the Chesterfield THI Leaflet.

The THI is funded through the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), Derbyshire Economic Partnership (DEP) and Chesterfield Borough Council and will operate until December 2012.
Many properties within the town centre require some form of attention, with those also of historical and architectural merit identified as target properties for the Chesterfield THI. All the properties to be targeted fall within the THI area and will help with physical and economic regeneration of the town centre.

The THI targets the conservation of key historic buildings. Works funded under the grant will use appropriate techniques, traditional methods of construction and high quality natural or traditional materials. Grants can be given for:
- Repairs to the fabric of the building
- Reinstatement of architectural details
- Reuse of vacant floorspace
