MasterCard SecureCode

Your can use either your credit card or debit card to make a payment online to Chesterfield Borough Council

However, Maestro, along with your bank, are concerned about the online security of their cardholders. MasterCard SecureCode enhances your current Maestro card with a secret code to protect against unauthorized use while making online payments.

Chesterfield Borough Council now offer MasterCard SecureCode protection for online payments. This means that:

If your Maestro card has been issued by one of the banks participating in the MasterCard SecureCode Scheme, you will shown a registration screen asking for your card details.
If you have already registered your Maestro card, you will be prompted to enter your SecureCode.
Once you have registered or entered your secure code your transaction will be completed.
