Chesterfield Borough Council is looking for a tenancy sustainment officer who will join a team of 6 tenancy sustainment officers.

The post holder will be giving support to vulnerable council tenants who need support to keep their homes. The tenants who use the service often have a history of mental illness, debt and rent arrears.

The post holder will need experience of providing tenancy support and have a working knowledge of welfare benefits, debt and social housing.

You will need to be able to drive and have access to a car, an enhanced DBS check with the Disclosure and Barring service applies to this post.

The Sport and Leisure team are recruiting for variable gymnastics instructors to deliver gymnastics lessons at Queens Park Sports Centre. Candidates should be ideally qualified to British Gymnastics Level 2 but Instructors with a level one qualification are also encouraged to apply.

Hours of work will be as and when required to cover the gymnastics programme. We expect a flexible approach to meeting customer demand within the opening hours of the service.

It is expected that an innovative and high quality teaching service will be developed to meet a wide range of customers and specific needs from beginners through to competition standard.

All team members will be expected to provide support to the service covering colleague absences for training and holidays etc. Regular training in Emergency Action Plans will be required and attendance at planned meetings will be expected.

You will be a highly motivated, flexible and resourceful individual who can maintain a customer-focused approach to all our Sport and Leisure activities. The post requires regular unsocial hours working including evenings and weekends involving services provided at all Councils Sports and Leisure venues within the Borough.

The Sport and Leisure team are seeking to recruit an employee who can assist in providing a high standard activity programme throughout the school holidays.

We want someone to join our team of staff who can coach children and supervise activity sessions across both our leisure facilities. You must also be able to assist in developing the programme and suggesting areas for improvement that can increase participation to activities.

Core hours of work will be during school holidays, but through developing our activity programme there may be potential to work during term time as well and with partners throughout Chesterfield Borough.

We deliver a 24/7 Careline Response Service to over 4000 clients, and Independent Living Service to 2000 clients across Chesterfield, Amber Valley, and North East Derbyshire, to help them maintain independent living in their own home.

Team Leaders are responsible for the day to day operational management and supervision of our Services, supervising and co-ordinating staff to ensure the delivery of an excellent, efficient, and effective service assisting customers to sustain independent living.

This will include the effective management and direction of the Team, setting clear standards and performance targets, identifying areas of development for the Team, and ensuring an effective liaison with statutory and voluntary organisations.

You must have a minimum of two years’ experience working in a similar or related environment with relevant experience of staff and service management, and the delivery of support services for the benefit of older and vulnerable people. The Council’s CCTV Service is currently looking for a committed individual to join our professional team of CCTV operators.

You will be required to monitor and operate the CCTV cameras and associated equipment via the Council’s CCTV control room.

You will also be expected to actively engage in promoting the CCTV service to potential external customers as required.

Our control room operates 24 hours each day, and you will be part of a team that works a rolling shift pattern covering days, afternoons and night shifts. Weekend working and Bank Holidays form part of the core shift pattern.

It is essential that successful candidates are available to work all of the shift patterns, currently these are 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm and 10pm to 6am. This will include weekends and bank holidays, as such flexibility is a essential part of this job.

The successful candidate will have excellent observation, awareness and communication skills.

You must also have the ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to act quickly and positively, recording incidents and alarms on various computer software systems.

Applicants with a current Security Industry Authority (SIA) Licence for CCTV Operators (Public Space Surveillance) are preferred. Non holders of the licence will be required to attain the appropriate SIA license within three months of your appointment, training to be provided.
