Car boot sale

Car boot sale

Chesterfield car boot sale is held every Sunday morning  from 7am to noon.

The car boot sale is one of the biggest in the area with up to 120 hardstanding pitches available.

The car boot sale is held at Rose Hill car park (behind the Town Hall, Chesterfield, S40 1LP) and is managed by Chesterfield Borough Council in accordance with council’s market charter rights. For further details, please contact the markets team on 01246 345999 or email markets@chesterfield.gov.uk.

During severe weather, please check the Chesterfield Market Traders Facebook page to see if the car boot is still taking place.

Buyers

Entry is free for buyers. Food and drink is available to buy around the car boot sale area, and toilets are available on-site.

Sellers

The earliest you can arrive on site is 7am.You will be held in the car parking bays in front of the Town Hall prior to this time. This helps reduce queuing vehicles blocking the surrounding roads and parking on nearby residential streets. You don’t need to book a space. The car boot stewards will advise you where to park and trade.

Pitch prices are £5 each (until the end of March 2020, usally priced at £10 each), with payment taken on the day. Larger vehicles are individually priced on the day.

Please note this is a car boot sale and not a market. Only genuine car boot sellers will be allowed to sell.
