A new enterprise centre is proposed on part of the Holywell Cross car park, locally known as the 'donut'.
We're working with Whittam Cox Architects on proposals and designs for this new centre which will complement our Dunston and Tapton Innovation Centres.
This will be a state of the art, environmentally friendly building, providing small managed office spaces, ranging from 19 to 89 square metres. It will offer 2600 square metres of high specification work space with access to in-house support services to encourage and nurture start-up and early stage businesses in a wide variety of industry sectors.
The building will include high-quality offices in a range of sizes over four floors, and will incorporate a number of sustainable features.
The centre is designed to appeal to businesses that benefit from a central location and is of particular interest to those involved in professional and financial services, innovation and communication technology.
Proposals include a business lounge designed to provide a vibrant, informal workspace and meeting area along with more formal meeting space within the centre.
The enterprise centre will be easy to access by car, is on a number of town and city bus routes, and is close to Chesterfield Train station.
