Produce sold must be either locally produced or sourced. Craft trades are welcome. Traders must comply with current legislation relating to the production and sale of food items. Further information can be found in our Standards of Trading document or by contacting a member of the Markets Team on 01246 345 999 or markets@chesterfield.gov.uk.

Traders have to apply beforehand to stand at these events and cannot just turn up on the day. We only have a limited number of stalls and demand is high so you may have to be placed on a waiting list. You will need to contact the Markets Team beforehand to discuss availability.

Stall prices

The price for a stall on the farmers' market is a set fee of £20.80 (as of April 2016) for each trader and this provides you with a gazebo pop up stall and boards and trestles to trade from.
