Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Stay alert, control the virus, save lives

We're working closely with lead health organisations to ensure that the people of Chesterfield are protected and kept well informed.

Social distancing

We would like to remind residents that it is crucial that they follow the current Government guidelines about social distancing.

When you do leave the house, you must ensure that you follow social distancing guidelines.

This means:

  • Stay at home as much as possible
  • Where possible keep a distance of at least two metres from anyone not in your household
  • Wear a face covering when visiting shops, supermarkets, museums, cinemas, or indoor transport hubs, and when traveling on public transport
  • Wash your hands regularly

Do not leave home if you or anyone in your household has symptoms - stay home and self isolate.
