Chesterfield Area Walking Festival
12 to 20 May 2018
Explore the Chesterfield area on foot in our 12th annual Walking Festival. Stroll around pretty villages, look at flowers, listen to birds and search out dragonflies and butterflies. Take in some history, set out after tea and cakes or finish off with a pint at the local pub. Most walks are free so there’s no excuse not to join us. All are led by a fully trained guide who knows the history, wildlife and the best countryside to walk through (as well as the best pubs to visit) in the beautiful Chesterfield landscape.

Barrow Hill Roundhouse Rail Ale Festival
17 to 19 May 2018
Barrow Hill Roundhouse has lined up three days of fantastic entertainment with over 350 real ales, ciders, craft beers and a Prosecco bar. For music lovers there will be live music in the marquee and on the main stage from jazz and brass through acoustic, funk and soul to rock and roll. The Food Court will be on hand to provide you with a tasty range of food to suit every appetite from pork pies to pancakes and hog roast to pizza, not forgetting the chocolate, the cheese and even coffee!

Chesterfield Canal Festival
30 June and 1 July 2018, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Staveley Town Basin, S43 3XZ
Boat trips, entertainment marquee, craft stalls, canal societies, canoeing, canal ware, children’s rides, birds of prey, charity stalls, wildlife groups plus food stalls and a real ale bar.
Entrance £5, free for under 12s. Free parking.

Chesterfield Festival of Cricket
22 to 28 July 2018
The Custom Solar Chesterfield Festival of Cricket, in association with Chesterfield Borough Council, returns to Queen’s Park in 2018.
The picturesque ground will host five days of action, with a four-day game starting on Sunday 22 July and the popular T20 Blast fixture versus Yorkshire Vikings on Saturday 28 July.
The fixture against Yorkshire was a complete sell out in 2017, with demand at an all-time high for the big local derby. The Club is expecting similar demand again in 2018.
Northamptonshire will be the visitors for the traditional first-class fixture, with good crowds anticipated for all four days at the stunning out-ground venue.
Hospitality is available for all five days at Queen’s Park, with prices starting from £65 + VAT for the four-day game and £95 + VAT for the T20 Blast fixture. For more information or to buy, please call 01332 388 121.

Chesterfield Food and Drink Festival
4 and 5 August 2018
To celebrate the huge range of local food and drink companies around Chesterfield, over 50 local companies will showcase and sell their produce over two days at Queens Park.
Over the weekend there will be something for the whole family including:
- Delicious hot and cold food from around the world
- Wine and cheese sampling from local producers
- Bars serving alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks
- A cold and raw food market
- Talks and presentations from local food companies and nutritionists
- Live music stage
- Chill out and sheltered areas
- Dance demonstrations in the famous bandstand
- A wide range of children’s entertainment and activities
- Crafts, accessories and vintage clothing and much more

Chesterfield Well Dressing
3 to 15 September 2018
The annual well dressing begins on Wednesday 3 September when our volunteers start putting together the town's well dressing. Come along and see the team in action between 3 and 7 September in The Pavements Shopping Centre.
The finished well dressing will be on show at the pump in the Market Square from 8 to 15 September, following a blessing ceremony.

Chesterfield Beer Festival
2 and 3 November 2018
Chesterfield and District CAMRA will hold a beer festival at the Winding Wheel on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd November with free evening entertainment.
- Lunchtime sessions 11am to 4pm, £5.50 per person
- Evening sessions 6.30pm to 11pm, £6.50 per person
Entry price includes a free glass.
