Chesterfield Museum Survey

Chesterfield Museum Survey

Chesterfield Museum Survey – Have your say.

Chesterfield Museum has been welcoming visitors for more than 26 years, telling the story of Chesterfield  - from its beginnings as a Roman fort to its history as a manufacturing town boosted by the Industrial Revolution – and we want to hear your thoughts.

As well as presenting fascinating temporary exhibitions and unique displays in the art gallery, in recent years Chesterfield Museum has been working even more closely with local organisations by hosting exhibitions by Chesterfield Photographic Society, DCAS, LGBT+ Derbyshire, Chesterfield Rugby Club and the Don Rivers Catchment Trust.

Like many museums nationwide, Chesterfield Museum has had to remain closed to visitors since March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Behind the scenes, however, the museum team has been busy extending and improving the museum’s online offer, exploring avenues for future development, and bringing together ideas that will excite and engage visitors when the museum can reopen its doors.

As part of these improvements, we’d love to hear from the people of Chesterfield and beyond about what they would like to see in the museum in the future, and how we could make a visit to the museum even better.

You can have your say by taking part in a short online survey which is live until Sunday 14 March.

Please feel free to share the survey with your friends and family – the more responses the better.

Thank you so much for helping us shape the future of Chesterfield Museum.
