Group Visits

We know that planning a group outing can be hard work, that’s why we have put the information together below outlining what we can offer and how you can make the most of your time with us.

If you are travelling to Chesterfield by coach then free parking can be arranged by contacting Chesterfield Visitor Information Centre or by completing the booking form.

Sole use of the museum
If you prefer sole use of the Museum is available on Tuesday or Wednesday, or any weekday evening all year round. We will do our best to help you.

Please talk to us about how we can help you to make the most of your visit. Please give us at least one month’s notice so that we can make arrangements for:

Visit during public opening hours
The Museum is open to the public Monday and Thursday to Saturday 10am to 4pm. If visiting during these hours there is no charge, although donations would be gratefully accepted. Please give consideration to other visitors and include this in your risk assessment.

Whilst here museum staff can provide you with:

•A ‘search the museum’ trail linked to our temporary exhibition at no extra cost.

About the Museum
•We have a shop which sells gifts, books and pocket money items.
•Unfortunately refreshments aren’t available on site and we don’t have space for visitors to have packed lunches. There are, however, many cafes in the surrounding area.
•Toilet facilities are available including an accessible toilets and baby changing unit.
•The museum is fully accessible to wheelchair users.
