Whilst visiting the Museum don’t forget to take a look in our shop. We sell a multitude of local gifts and souvenirs. Educational topics include the Romans, Victorian’s and Medieval period replica’s.
We have a range of local history books for sale, many of which are supplied from local authors; topics include George Stephenson, the railways and the coal mining industry.
If you are looking for unique gifts to pass on for a special occasion or just to take away as a memento, we have coal figurines and ornaments, Chesterfield mugs and tea towels and the obligatory pencil and souvenir magnet.
Why not indulge in some toffee or fudge, or take a box home as a reminder of your visit. Amongst our food and confectionary range we also sell English breakfast tea, from Northern Tea Merchants on Chatsworth Road, and locally produced honey which is recommended for hay fever sufferers.
Our most popular items are the pocket money range, which children of all ages love, at a real bargain price and great to purchase as stocking fillers. Whether it’s a cuddly toy, a dinosaur egg, or slime we have something for all imaginations to grow, explore and play!
The shop is open during normal opening hours. We will also open the shop for group visits, out of hours, on request. Due to the nature of the Museum we can only accept payment by cash or cheque (made payable to Chesterfield Borough Council).
