Park management - plans and strategy
We're proud of our parks and open spaces, and have plans in place to make sure they are well run, well used and open to everyone in the community.
Chesterfield parks and open spaces strategy 2015–2024
Our original strategy for Chesterfield's parks and open spaces was launched in 2003; the current strategy is based on research of best practice and consultation with partners.
Between 2003 and 2014 more than £8.25 million of capital has been invested to improve Chesterfield's parks. A number of friends of parks groups have been established and they've played an important role in attracting grant funding for projects, as well as in organising events and activities.
