Chesterfield Parks and Open Spaces Strategy 2015–2024

The original strategy for Chesterfield's parks and open spaces was launched by the council in 2003. The new strategy has now been adopted and is based on research of best practice and consultation with partners.

Since 2003, more than £8.25 million of capital has been invested to improve Chesterfield's parks. Over 20 friends of parks groups have been established and they've played an important role in attracting grant funding for projects, as well as in organising events and activities.

Public satisfaction with parks and open spaces has risen by 18 per cent and now stands at 73 per cent.
