Walking for health

Walking for health

Walking for Health is a great way for adults to get back into regular exercise and for free.

You’ll feel better physically and mentally and it’s a great way to meet new people, too. The walks last between 20 minutes and 60 minutes on flat, easy terrain and are led by trained walk leaders.

Our Health Walks are free and are for adults over 16 years. New walkers are asked to arrive early for their first session to complete a registration form. We also run a programe of buggy walks in Chesterfield – please see below for details.

Our buggy walks are a free and sociable activity for parents and carers with their baby.

Walking with a group is a great way to make new friends, explore your local area and get fit whilst having fun. Walks last between 45 minutes and an hour, and are followed with a cuppa and a chat.

Our walks take place come rain or shine, although in extreme weather we may need to cancel so please do check with the centre before setting out. There's no need to book, just come along and all parents, grandparents and carers are welcome.
