Chesterfield observes one minute silence in honour of Finsbury Park attack victims

Chesterfield Borough Council staff and councillors took part in a national one minute silence on Monday 26 June to remember the one person killed and nine people injured in the terror attack at a mosque in Finsbury Park in London on Monday 19 June.

This comes after the silences previously held after the Westminster, Manchester and London bridge terror attacks and the silence held last week after the fire at Grenfell Tower in London where at least 70 people died.

The silence was also observed in all council buildings including: the Customer Service Centre in New Square, the Market Hall, the Pavements Shopping Centre, Chesterfield Visitor Information Centre, On the Move, Queen's Park Sports Centre, the Healthy Living Centre, Chesterfield Theatres and Stonegravels
