Christmas is a great time to make gifts for friends or family, create decorations for your home or use your baking skills to make some yummy treats.
Here we have put together a few ideas to do either by yourself, or to entertain the kids, and the best part is all of the tutorials are free.
The cost of living is affecting everyone this year, so why not use materials you already have around the home to create some truly unique presents, things to eat or creative crafts.
Make a Christmas wreath
This is a great project to do to get into the festive spirit. Why not get outside into the garden and find some moss and evergreen foliage, find some old ribbon and follow this guide of how to make your very own Christmas wreath.
Create your own bath bombs for gifts
Bath bombs are a fun Christmas gift, and they don’t have to cost a lot if you spend some time making them yourself. This is also a great way to entertain children on a rainy day if you are looking for a new indoor activity.
They can come in all different shapes, designs and sizes, this really depends on the materials you use to make them.

Fun gingerbread activities
The Gingerbread Man is a classic children's story about a runaway gingerbread man fleeing from the woman who baked him and has been around since 1875.
One of the museum front of house staff has come up with some fun children's activities and crafts based on this story and also some fabulous biscuits to make.
If you are looking to bake something new to share with your friends and family, why not check out this recipe to make your own gingerbread people at home. There is also a guide of how you could decorate the biscuits here.
Make a Santa Christmas Ornament
Christmas crafts don’t have to be too tricky or take lots of time. To make a simple Santa decoration all you will need is some felt or card, pens, glue, cotton wool and ribbon – this would be a great low-cost activity for children to try. Grown ups can obviously have a go too, adding any extra crafty designs they would like to.
