Make Christmas plans in Chesterfield

It may only be October, but local businesses are starting to make plans for Christmas festivities so are open for bookings now.

Whether you are planning your work Christmas party, thinking ahead about spending time with family and friends or going out for a meal with a loved one, Chesterfield has a lot to offer everyone.

Find some ideas on which venues to book a Christmas party.

For family days out, there is lots going on in and around the town centre including Santa’s Christmas Grotto, an Elf Trail and the Christmas Lights Switch On event. 

Revolution House is opening its doors to visitors – it will be decorated in the style of a 17th Century Christmas with displays of greenery, a kissing bough, and colourful flower arrangements will be provided by volunteers, this really is an attraction not to be missed.

The house is open from Thursday 8 December to Saturday 24 December 2022 from 11am to 3pm.

Chesterfield’s pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, has an all-star cast who are all ready to entertain audiences at the Winding Wheel Theatre.

This year’s cast includes Michelle Collins, famous for her appearances in EastEnders and Coronation Street, who will be playing the bad fairy Carabosse.

Britain’s Got Talent star Jai McDowall, who won the fifth season of the show with his powerhouse vocals, is playing the heroic prince, while former Disney Art Attack presenter Lloyd Warbey will have audiences laughing as he plays the fool.
