The council operates a choice-based lettings system. This allows people who appear on its Housing Register to bid for available properties and offers are made according to the council's published policy. We aim to match peoples’ housing needs with suitable accommodation. We also aim to allow more flexible allocations of housing within particular estates to extend applicants’ choice and to encourage sustainable communities.
The Housing Solutions Team is responsible for the maintenance of the Housing Register, allocating council properties and dealing with any changes to the circumstances of your council tenancy.
