Join our team:

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity that is vital to the council’s housing new build and acquisitions programme.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead the development and management of our funding strategy for the housing assets service.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and managing funding opportunities for new build developments and property acquisitions.

You will also play a crucial part in discovering housing-owned land within the borough and creating innovative strategies to maximise its potential for new housing schemes, aligned with the borough’s housing aspirations.

Key responsibilities:

  • develop and manage a comprehensive funding strategy for housing projects
  • identify funding opportunities for new builds and acquisitions
  • utilise land effectively to create innovative housing solution

Ideal candidates will have:

  • strong knowledge of current social housing issues and construction best practices
  • proven experience in securing external funding bids
  • a solid understanding of planning procedures, building control, and relevant legislation in the construction industry
