Skills Bootcamps: Fully-funded courses for jobs
Skills Bootcamps offer free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks.
Bootcamps are available for adults aged 19 or over who are either in work or recently unemployed and live in England, in sectors including:
- Construction
- Digital
- Engineering and Manufacturing
- Green Skills
- HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) Driving
- Rail
They give people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer.

Some Skills Bootcamps have additional eligibility criteria, so check with your Skills Bootcamp provider.
Skills Bootcamps – Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Driving
Find out how you can become a HGV driver.
You are eligible to apply for a Skills Bootcamp in HGV driving if you are:
- aged 19 or over and are employed
- self-employed
- have recently become unemployed (in the past 12 months)
- are returning to work after a break
- have a full UK driving licence
Some Skills Bootcamps have additional eligibility criteria, so check additional eligibility with your Skills Bootcamp provider.
