Festival of Christmas trees

Festival of Christmas Trees

Get into the Christmas spirit at Chesterfield's famous 'Crooked Spire' at the 2023 Festival of Christmas Trees.

The Parish Church of St Mary and All Saints is the largest church in Derbyshire, and will be filled with decorated Christmas trees as it celebrates its ninth annual festival.

The trees are decorated by local people, groups and shops, from voluntary groups scout and guide troops, schools and high street stores, from accountants to Chesterfield Museum and many more besides.

Come along and see over one hundred trees in all shapes sizes and designs, helping to promote local businesses, charities and organisations.

Admission is free, there will be live entertainment and a chance to buy gifts.

The 2023 Festival of Christmas Trees runs from Saturday 18 November to Sunday 3 December and is open at the following times:

  • Monday to Thursday 10.30am to 4.30pm
  • Friday and Saturday 10.30am to 5pm
  • Sunday 12 noon to 5.30pm

Please note: the church doors may be open at other times for services and events, during which it will not be possible to visit the festival.
