How does Telecare work?
If any of the sensors are triggered, this will raise the alarm, which connects directly to our Careline operators via your telephone line.
An operator at the centre will try to speak to you through the alarm unit, to ascertain the reason for the call. Where assistance is needed, the Careline operator will notify your named carer or family member of the situation. If it is an emergency, or if the operator cannot speak to you, they will respond by sending a mobile warden round or alerting the emergency services (as appropriate). Where possible, the operator will also try to let you know help is on its way.
