Current local plan
Chesterfield Borough Council adopted the Local Plan; Core Strategy at a meeting of the full council on the 24 July 2013.
The Local Plan; Core Strategy sets out the strategy for development across the borough until 2031 and identifies which broad areas are suitable for development. The Local Plan; Core Strategy is the first part of the borough's Local Plan.
The proposals map adopted alongside the Replacement Chesterfield Borough Local Plan has now been superseded following the adoption of the Core Strategy.
The proposals map is a geographical expression of all the adopted policies in the Chesterfield Borough Local Development Framework (CBLDF). The map consists of the core strategy policies alongside saved policies from the 2006 local plan. In the future, when the Local Plan; Sites and Boundaries and the Staveley and Rother Valley Corridor Area Action Plan are adopted, the map will consist of all the Local Plan policies.
A number of policies from the Replacement Chesterfield Bororugh Local Plan (2006) have been saved until the adoption of the Local Plan; Sites and Boundaries. These policies are detailed in Appendix H of the Local Plan; Core Strategy. The full Replacement Chesterfield Borough Local Plan (2006) is available to view.
