Peak Resort: Public Path Orders
Peak Resort: Public Path Order 2018
An order was made on 29 May 2018 to stop up part of bridleway 39 and lengths of other public bridleways and public footpaths near the entrance to the site of the proposed Peak Resort (for which planning permission has been granted).
This is the result of the new roundabout at the entrance to the site and to ensure safety for bridleway users. The order provides for an alternative bridleway, part of which replaces a length Footpath 178, to be created with increased width and surfacing as described in the Order.
A copy of the order is below, together with the order plan which shows the paths affected.
Information on how to make representations or objection to the order is set out in the notice below, together with information about procedures.
The last date for representations or objections is 2 July 2018. To make representations by email click here.
Peak Resort: Public Path Diversion Order 2014
An order was made on 16 July 2014 to divert the public bridleway and public footpaths crossing the site of the proposed Peak Resort near Unstone in Chesterfield (for which planning permission has been granted) to the perimeter of the site.
The alternative bridleway and footpaths will be wider and surfaced as described in the order.
Representations on and objections to the order were considered by an inspector appointed by the Secretary of State. The order was approved with modifications by the inspector on 15 December 2015. A copy of the inspector’s decision and the order as confirmed is available to download below.
The order came into effect on 30 October 2017, the date that the council certified that the creation of alternative bridleway and footpaths has taken place.
A notice explaining the effects of the order and a copy of the notice of certification is available below.
You can also view a copy of the order and the order plan free of charge at Chesterfield Town Hall between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Mondays to Fridays.
