Apologies we are currently experiencing problems with the online booking system and you may be unable to book a class / or receive notification that you have booked. We are working to sort this out as quickly as possible.

Our group exercise class timetable includes both classes in the studio and in the pool. 

Cancelling a class

Class cancellations must be made at least two hours in advance by phone, direct email or in person. For non attendance of any activity, or not cancelling with the appropriate notice a fee of £3.00 will be charged.

Online booking

Register your Active Chesterfield card and simply log in to the online booking page to make your class bookings. You can book up to 8 days in advance.

To register your account you'll need to use a PC or laptop. Once registered you can use your smart phone or tablet to book classes.

We currently run the following classes.

Studio-based classes

Abs Blast: This session will flatten and firm the tummy also strengthen and tone all your abdominal muscles, shape the waistline and strengthen the back.

Antenatal: Gentle exercise for pregnant ladies

Body Burn: high-energy aerobic and body weight class to burn fat

Body Combat: high-energy workout combining punches and kicks, inspired by martial arts disciplines

Body Pump: This is a weights-based workout designed to sculpt, tone and strengthen your whole body

Cycling (indoor): cardiovascular workout on indoor exercise bikes, incorporating running, jumping, spinning and climbing

Circuits: whole-body workout incorporating resistance and aerobic moves to strengthen, tone and increase fitness

Dance fit: A full body aerobic work out, divided into different tracks that provide peaks and troughs of intensity

Fitball: Focus on improving your core stability and strength, ball based training class which challenges your muscles helping to strengthen and build.

Kettlebells: functional compound exercises using a cannon-shaped kettlebell to help develop strength, tone and fitness

LBT: a class designed to hit those hard-to-tone areas, working the core and lower body

Pilates: a system of exercises designed to improve posture, flexibility and strength, and to calm the mind

Low impact aerobics: a gentle, enjoyable workout for those who want to keep fit, without the high intensity challenge

Move it mums: Get back in shape after having baby, a fun and varied class where you can bring baby along aswell.

Shred: Burn calories and improve conditioning through a combination of cardio and compound weightlifting HiiT routines

Stretch and relax: For comfort and treatment of stiffness, stress and anxiety, improve posture and increase flexibility

Step: a cardiovascular workout that uses choreographed step patterns to provide a great fat-burning workout

Tai Chi: Combines deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements

Yoga: a traditional Eastern discipline focusing on increasing flexibility, physical and mental strength through a series of postures

Zumba: Latin inspired dance fitness class that creates a dynamic, fun and effective total body workout.

Zumba gold: For active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba class that recreates the original moves as a lower intensity class, focusses on elements of cardiovascular fitness, muscular conditioning, flexibility and balance.

360 fitness; a fantastic functional fitness class that will push you to your max.
