- Monday to Friday: 6.30am to 10pm
- Saturday: 8am to 6pm
- Sunday: 9am to 8pm

Junior gym sessions: Age 10 to 13 years
Junior gym is for children aged 10 to 13 years old where after being shown how to use the cardio and easyline equipment in the fitness suite correctly and safely by an instructor, young people can enjoy a great workout at the Healthy Living Centre and Queens Park Sports Centre
No weight machines are allowed to be used during these sessions.
Junior gym takes place:
- Monday to Friday: 4.30pm to 5.30pm
- Saturday: 11am to noon
- Sunday: 10.30am to 11.30am and 2pm to 3pm
Family Fit session
Families can work out together on the cardio and easyline equipment at our family fit sessions, which take place in the fitness suites at both our centres.
Children will be shown how to use the equipment safely and must be supervised by their parent or guardian at all times.
The supervising adult must have previously had a gym induction session so they know how to use the equipment safely.
A health commitment statement must be signed at the centre before participation. Young people remain the responsibility of their parent/guardian during the session.
Every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 12 noon.
Suitable for young people age 8 to 15 years with accompanying adult.
Children aged 14+ are able to use the gym at any time with one of our memberships. There are also a number of fitness classes children aged 14+ can join in on which are highlighted on the junior fitness timetables.
Please note those aged 14+ can use resistance weight machines but cannot use free weights until 16+.

Our fitness suite
Our fitness suite boasts an 150+ station gym with cardio, strength and functional training zones. Top of the range fitness equipment includes everything from treadmills, steppers and cross-trainers to rower's resistance machines and free weights.
We’ve got a separate free weights area and a functional training zone with kit including medicine balls, BOSU and sandbags. There is also an area for stretching at the end of your workout. A large proportion of our kit - nearly 50% - is also IFI accredited, so is suitable for people with a range of physical abilities.
To help set, monitor and track your fitness goals we'll shortly be introducing the new Trakk, which replaces the previous Wellness key. It will be integrated into your membership card, so you’ll never forget your workout.

To ensure that users understand how to use the equipment in a safe and correct manner, customers must attend an induction training session before using the fitness suite.
