Group fitness

Our group exercise class timetable includes both classes in the studio and in the pool. You can now book your place in any of our classes online.

Please note the change to our online booking.

From 1 January 2017 booking will not be available until 6am for 8 days in advance bookings for classes.

Class prices

Indoor cycling: £5.35 / £4.45 (Change4Life concession)
60 minute class: £4.75 / £3.95 (C4L)
45 minute class: £3.95 / £3.35 (C4L)
30 minute class: £2.70 / £2.35 (C4L)

Class ammendment

Please note that Armageddon on a Wednesday at 6pm and Friday at 5.30pm will now be Shred taught by Kat an Dan.

Cancelling a class

If you are unable to attend a booked class please make sure you let us know at least two hours in advance, so we can free the space for someone else. You can email us at

We ask that customers do not book more than 16 classes over any 8-day period, to allow as great a number of people as possible to attend our classes.

Online booking

Register your Active Chesterfield card and simply log on to the online booking page to make your class bookings. You can book up to 8 days in advance.

To register your account you'll need to use a PC or laptop. Once registered you can use your smart phone or tablet to book classes.

Class descriptions

Aerobics: high/low impact cardiovascular workout
Abs Attack: strengthens and tones all your abdominal muscles 
Armageddon: body weight circuit-style class 
Body Combat: high-energy workout combining punches and kicks, inspired by martial arts disciplines
Body Pump: weights-based workout designed to sculpt, tone and strengthen your whole body
Boxercise: an energetic, stress-busting workout combining aerobic work with padwork routines
Cycling: cardiovascular workout on indoor exercise bikes incorporating running, jumping and climbing
Circuits: whole-body workout incorporating resistance and aerobic moves to strengthen, tone and increase fitness
Kettlebells: functional compound exercises using a cannon-shaped kettlebell to help develop strength, tone and fitness
Pilates: a system of exercises designed to improve posture, flexibility and strength, and to calm the mind
Stretch and Tone: gentle stretching and strengthening techniques to develop strength and flexibility
Thighs, Bums and Tums: a class designed to hit those hard-to-tone areas, working the core and lower body
Yoga: a traditional Eastern discipline focusing on increasing flexibility, physical and mental strength through a series of postures
Pregnancy yoga: a class specifically for women over 14 weeks pregnant
Mother and baby yoga: a class for women and their babies (from 6 weeks or after your health check)
360fitness: a high-intensity functional training class, with progressive development

Pool-based classes

Aquacise: water-based cardiovascular workout suitable for all
Swim Fit: structured workout in the water, to help increase fitness and strength
Aqua Circuit: moving between different stations for a full body workout
Aqua Rave: water-based dance fun to uplifting music                                            

Swim tuition: training class to help develop your swim stroke (for compent swimmers)
