Borough and Parish Elections 2 May 2019
Borough and parish council elections will take place on Thursday 2 May 2019.
There will be elections for 48 Chesterfield Borough Council ward members, 17 Staveley Parish councillors and ten Brimington Parish councillors.
Briefing for potential borough and parish candidates and election agents
Briefings will be held on the following dates:
- Thursday 7 March – 6pm, Town Hall, Rose Hill, Chesterfield S40 1LP
- Tuesday 12 March – 6pm, Town Hall, Rose Hill, Chesterfield S40 1LP
- Tuesday 19 March – 6pm, Speedwell Rooms, Inkersall Road, Staveley, Chesterfield S43 3JL

Register by Friday 12 April to vote in the borough and parish councillor elections on 2 May 2019. You don’t need to register again if you’ve already registered to vote.

The deadline for registering for a proxy vote is 5pm, Wednesday 24 April 2019.
This is the last opportunity for anyone who knows that they will not be able to get to their polling station on 2 May to put absent voting arrangements in place.
