Here we will have information about our Museum on the Move, which we hope to continue to bring to the public whilst the refurbishments are carried out at Stephenson Memorial Hall. 

We had a great day at the 1940s Market on Thursday 28th October 2022. Chesterfield Museum had a pop-up museum in the old Shoe Zone shop in the Pavements Shopping Centre.

We all got in to our 1940s outfits and had lots of handling objects from our WW2 education box and had an interesting display on how rationing operated. We also worked alongside Wessex Archaeology with their design and print a 1940s style tile activity and we also had the excellent Anna, a re-enactor talking about bomb disposal and delivering a 'bomb' defusing activity.
