Gambling Act 2005
We have a duty to licence premises where gambling is to take place, this includes registering small society lotteries.
Licensing authorities are required by the Gambling Act 2005 to review and publish their statement of principles, which they propose to apply when exercising their functions under the Act, every three years. The latest statement approved by full council in April 2016 is available below, along with the responsible authorities for gambling and the appropriate fees.
Review of statement of principles
We are reviewing our statement of principles made under the Gambling Act 2005.
