Why choose registered premises and practitioners?

All registered skin piercing practitioners and premises in Chesterfield have undergone rigorous inspections before they are allowed to trade.

Registered skin piercing practitioners must provide clean and hygienic premises and use control techniques to kill infections.

Good quality equipment can be very expensive. Unregistered operators are more likely to use cheap equipment and be unaware of the risks involved with using them.

Unregistered practitioners may also:

be inexperienced
not operate in a clean, safe manner
not sterilise their equipment correctly
often practise on members of the public as well as their friends

If a practitioner doesn't sterilise their equipment properly, there is a risk of infection passing between customers (such as HIV, Tetanus or Hepatitis).

Always choose a registered skin piercing practitioner and premises - they will display a copy of their registration certificate in a prominent place on their premises.
