As part of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, as amended, Local Planning Authorities must prepare a 'Local Development Scheme'.
The Local Development Scheme (LDS) shows our programme for producing the Local Development Plan. It explains which Local Development Documents will be produced as part of our Local Plan and when they will be produced.
The latest LDS (LDS12) took effect on 5 March 2025.
Due to the need to assess the implications of the government’s NPPF and Planning Reforms consultation, our timetable will need to change slightly.
We will formally update our Local Plan timetable (Local Development Scheme) after the government has confirmed the date for the publication of the amended NPPF and the transitional arrangements that will apply.
