What’s the job about?

  • we are on the lookout for a confident and positive person to join our team as a Customer Service Apprentice
  • get hands-on experience helping people every day – whether that’s over the phone, online or face-to-face
  •  learn all about the council services and how to support people with their questions or problems
  • don’t worry if you haven’t worked in customer service before – we’ll give you full training and support to build your skills and confidence

What are we looking for?

We want someone who:

  • enjoys chatting and helping others, Is friendly, polite and easy to talk to
  • can stay calm under pressure and solve problems
  • is ready to work in a fast-paced environment
  • can work well in a team
  • is up for learning new things
  • has good computer and keyboard skills
  • has Maths and English at GCSE grade 4 (C) or above (or equivalent)

If you’ve already completed a qualification or apprenticeship, it needs to be at a lower level or in a totally different subject to this one.
