Notice of proposed private hire and hackney carriage licence fees for 2026 to 2027

On 14 January 2026, Chesterfield Borough Council determined that the fees charged for the licensing of hackney carriage and private hire vehicles, operators and drivers should be varied in accordance with the proposed fees in the document below.

Any objections to the proposed fees must be made in writing to:

Objections must be received by the Licensing Section no later than 5 March 2026.

If no objection to the proposed variations is made, or if all objections are withdrawn, the proposed variations shall come into operation on 1 April 2026 or the date of withdrawal of any objections, whichever date is the latter.

If objection is made and not withdrawn, the council will set a further date on which the proposed variations shall come into force, with or without modification, after consideration of the objections.

A copy of this notice may be inspected at the Town Hall by the public free of charge on Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) from 9am to 5pm up to and including 5 March 2026.
