Chesterfield Borough Council are recruiting a Mechanical Services Engineer.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of a wide range of mechanical services and surveying functions relating to Chesterfield Borough Council owned buildings (operational properties, sports centres, venues, corporate, industrial and commercial premises and offices) in particular heating, gas air-conditioning, ventilation, hot and cold water services and fire sprinkler systems.

This is a diverse role in a busy team and the applicant will need to have experience of managing contractors, organising maintenance schedules and following up actions arising from routine inspections.

They will need to be a self-starter, organising their own workload and to have good communication skills with customers and within the team.
