Businesses in Chesterfield can take part in three different workshops in May which are designed to help them grow.
Through Chesterfield Borough Council’s Innovation Support Programme businesses can attend a workshop designed to help them improve branding, one around using LinkedIn as a marketing tool and another which will help them learn more about the King’s Award for Enterprise and how they can enter.
All three workshops, take place in person, are free to attend and are led by local experts in their respective fields.
On Wednesday 14 May Mike Marshall, Managing Creative Director of Chesterfield-based global branding agency eatsleepthink, will be leading a workshop where attendees can gain insight into how to make the most out of their brand and use it to grow their business.
The free workshop will provide insights into building an effective brand strategy, creating a compelling brand story and designing effective communication materials to help you achieve your business's strategic goals.
It will be hosted at Dunston Innovation Centre from 10am and places must be booked in advance on the Eventbrite website.
Marvin Cooke OBE DL, former Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Europe and current Professor of Enterprise at the University of Derby Business School, will be leading a workshop covering the King’s Awards for Enterprise.
The prestigious awards are a great way for businesses to boost their profile. Marvin and the team, assisted by former winners, will show attendees how they can enter and provide some valuable tips to help ensure their entry gets noticed.
The free workshop will be on Tuesday 20 May at Dunston Innovation Centre from 10am. Places must be booked in advance on the Eventbrite website.
Finally on Thursday 22 May businesses can take part in a workshop which will help them to learn more about using LinkedIn to generate new leads and grow their business.
The session will be led by Jack Follis of qbd and will focus on optimising profiles, posting, finding new clients, understanding your audience and the use of LinkedIn adverts.
This workshop will take place Tapton Park Innovation Centre from 10am. Places must be booked in advance on the Eventbrite website.
These free workshops form part of the offer for local businesses through the Innovation Support Programme. More workshops are planned throughout the year and are listed on both the D2N2 website and on our events page.
The programme also includes support for local businesses through business advice which can help people to access grants, identify other support programmes, become digitally proficient and collaborate with other local businesses.
Chesterfield’s Innovation Support Programme is one of several projects funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with funding now allocated by East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA).
