Parking savers and season tickets
Get discounted parking at our long stay multi-storey and pay and display car parks when you buy in advance.
Parking savers can be purchased for many of our town centre car parks, making parking cheaper, quicker and easier than buying on the day.
Pay and display car parks
Save money by pre-purchasing a monthly or annual parking permit or blocks of daily 'scratch card' savers for use at the following pay and display car parks:
- Albion Road
- Derbyshire Times
- Devonshire Street
- Durrant Road
- Hollis Lane
- Queens Park Annexe
- Queens Park North
- Queens Park South
- Spa Lane
- Station Lane
- Theatre Lane
Please note: these saver options can't be used at Ashgate Road, Coach Station, Holywell Cross and St Mary's Gate car parks or at the pay on return car parks at Rose Hill and Soresby Street.
Daily 'scratch card' savers
Simply buy a block of five daily scratch cards, and use them one at a time on any day you choose. Daily scratch cards work out at £3.60 for a whole day of parking at any of the pay and display car parks listed above.
These can be purchased in person from the Visitor Information Centre, Rykneld Square, Chesterfield S40 1SB (next to the Crooked Spire Church). Payment can be made by cash, cheque (payable to Chesterfield Borough Council) or credit/debit card. A minimum of five scratch cards must be purchased at any one time.
Scratch cards can also be purchased from our multi-storey car park, but are not valid for use there, details of our mult-storey savers are below.
Multi-storey car park
Save money on parking in our multi-storey car park by purchasing a monthly or annual parking permit or blocks of daily 'multi-storey' savers for use at:
- New Beetwell Street multi-storey
Daily 'multi-storey' savers
You can buy a block of five daily savers which can be used on any day you choose. Simply take a ticket on your way into the car park as usual, then take it along to the attendants’ office in the car park, where you can exchange it when you buy your block of five daily savers. By using daily savers you can reduce your parking cost to just £3.60 per day.
Monthly and annual permits
Pre-purchased parking saver permits have been standardised. They now cost:
- £62 a month - which works out at approximately £2.50 a day if used 25 times in a month or
- £620 a year – which works out at approximately £2.40 a day if used on weekdays throughout the year.
