Hartington Commerce Park is a 20-hectare site that has outline planning permission for industrial and warehouse development which will create more local jobs near to the successful Markham Vale site.

The Town Deal funding will support the development of infrastructure and enabling works to bring forward the development.

This includes the ability to create a new access point to the site from Hall Lane and connections to the electricity grid and other utilities which will allow further development on the site.
The project will also see improvements to footpath access on Hall Lane and will preserve the ecology of the river corridor at the edge of the site.

Hartington Commerce Park is part of the Staveley Chesterfield East Midlands Investment Zone, which will support the growth of the advanced manufacturing and clean technology sectors.
The Staveley, Chesterfield East Midlands Investment Zone is part of an initiative funded by the Government and led by East Midlands Combined County Authority. It aims to drive economic growth and create thousands of jobs across the region.

This project will create around 70,000 square metres of new commercial floorspace, which will be constructed according to demand, and this will help create new jobs for Staveley residents.
