Candidates must possess the necessary right to work authorisation to enable them to work for Chesterfield Borough Council. Regrettably, we are unable to provide sponsorship or assume sponsorship of an employment visa at this juncture.

We are looking for new additions to join our team to work at the modern leisure facilities within Chesterfield Borough Council.

Duties include providing lifeguard cover, customer engagement, supervision, cleaning, equipment set ups, and membership sales. You must be a highly motivated, flexible and resourceful individual who can maintain a customer-focused approach to all our sport and leisure activities. 

The successful candidate must hold a current National Pool Lifeguard award. Further coaching qualifications are desirable but not essential as we are looking for the right quality of individual. 

The post requires regular unsocial hours working including availability at evenings and weekends involving a variety of services and roles provided at all council’s sports and leisure venues within the Borough. 

We have 3 part time vacancies and 3 variable attendant positions available. One post at 14 hours and 30 minutes per week at the Healthy Living Centre, one post at 18 hours and 30 minutes per week and one post at 10 hours and 30 minutes per week at Queens Park Sports Centre. Candidates would be required to be available for cover over both sites. 

The successful candidate will be subject to a disclosure carried out by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
