A sector based work academy is an employer-led programme of training designed to help you get work. 

Academies are linked to real vacancies and offer pre-employment training, work experience placements and a guaranteed job interview.

They can be for a range of employment types, including warehouse and distribution, hospitality and healthcare. They last for up to 6 weeks and in some cases you can work towards getting a qualification. 

Job Centre Plus co-ordinate sector based work academies in Chesterfield in partnership with local employers, Chesterfield college and private training providers.
