Bin collections
Bins due to be collected on Monday 4 May will be collected on Saturday 2 May. Please make sure your bin is ready for collection by 7am as crews may be collecting at different times. Find out more about bin collections.
These changes apply to your general, recycling, garden and food waste bins.

Car parks
New Beetwell Street multi-storey car park will be open from 7am to 5pm on Monday 4 May.
All other council owned car parks will be open as usual over the bank holiday period.

Chesterfield and District Crematorium
Book of remembrance hall:
Open 10am to 4pm on Monday 4 May.

Customer services
The Town Hall Reception, Customer Services Centre and Contact Centre will be closed on Monday 4 May. You can still report issues like missed bins or littering online using My Chesterfield or see our I want to report page. For out of hours emergencies please contact 01246 345041.
We will reopen as usual on Tuesday 5 May – you can find our usual opening times here.
Emergency housing repairs
An out-of-hours emergency repairs service will be available on Monday 4 May. If you are a council tenant and need an emergency repair for something like a burst pipe, please call 01246 345041.
Please note this is for emergency repairs only and the operator will not be able to transfer calls or handle other enquiries during this time.
A normal repairs service will resume on Tuesday 5 May.

The outdoor market and Market Hall will be closed on Monday 4 May.

Queen’s Park Sports Centre
Monday 4 May:
- the gym closes at 7pm
- the last booking for racket sports is 6pm
- the main pool will close at 2.45pm and the small pool will close at 2pm
- the last fitness class will be indoor cycling at 5.30pm
- swimming lessons will take place as normal except for:
- National Lifesaving Academy at 6.15pm, and Rookies 2 and Stage 5 at 6.30pm
Healthy Living Centre
Monday 4 May:
- the gym will close at 7pm
- the spa and play zone will close at 6pm
- the pool will close at 3.45pm
- the last fitness classes will be aquacise at 12.15pm
- swimming lessons will take place as normal
- children’s climbing clubs are cancelled

The box office will be closed on Monday 4 May.
Please pre-book tickets on the Chesterfield Theatres website where possible. Tickets can be booked online 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can choose your own seat and tickets can be sent by email.
