Tipi Christmas returns to Chesterfield

After proving to be a popular attraction last year Tipi Christmas will be returning to Chesterfield in 2026.

The cosy Tipi complete with twinkling lights, seasonal drinks and festive cheer will be based in New Square from Thursday 12 November until Thursday 31 December.

Open throughout the day and into the evening, it’s a great place to meet friends and family to enhance shopping trips or provide a great start to an evening at the theatre or one of the many fantastic local restaurants.

Bronte Jackson, owner and founder of Tipi Christmas, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be bringing Tipi Christmas back to Chesterfield for a second year. The welcome we received last Christmas was fantastic, and it was brilliant to see so many people enjoying the Tipi throughout the festive season.

“We’re looking forward to building on that this year and creating a warm, festive place where people can meet with friends and family, enjoy a drink and soak up the Christmas atmosphere right in the heart of Chesterfield.”

Councillor Kate Sarvent, Chesterfield Borough Council’s cabinet member for town centres and visitor economy, said: “Our community really enjoyed Tipi Christmas last year and we’re excited to welcome them back to our town centre. Our town centre regeneration works have created two fantastic market spaces and by using New Square to host the Tipi and Grotto we’re aiming to create a new destination for Christmas magic whilst protecting the space in the main square for our fantastic traders and new Christmas Market.

“I hope our community will give the Tipi a fantastic welcome as it returns to Chesterfield and make full use of this cosy space.”

Tipi Christmas will be open Sunday to Thursday from 11am to 9pm and Friday to Saturday from 11am to 11pm. The operator may choose to close early due to bad weather or quiet evenings. To find out more about Tipi Christmas follow the Tipi events Facebook page.

Chesterfield also has a packed event programme planned for Christmas, with entertainment happening across the festive period. Keep an eye on the Chesterfield Borough Council’s social media channels and website for more details closer to the time.
