  • Coronavirus - Leisure service updates:

New restrictions from Thursday 5 November affecting Leisure Centres

You’ll be aware that new national lockdown rules come into force from Thursday 5 November.

Unfortunately this means that Queen’s Park Sports Centre will have to close during this period. Our centres will be open as normal on Wednesday 4 November and all our activities will continue as usual, in line with the current Tier 2 restrictions which apply in Chesterfield, until the national lockdown (which is due to end on Wednesday 2 December).

The building will remain open for anyone with a midwifery appointment at the centre and Chesterfield College will continue to access the centre for education purposes.

We look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we can, and more information about re-starting our services will be shared in late November.

    Membership and pre-payments

Due to the timing of the Government announcement it was not possible for us to stop direct debit collections for 1 November, so this will have been debited from your account.

However, if your direct debit is usually collected on the first of the month, no payment will be taken in December and your next payment won’t be until 1 January. Other direct debits will not be collected during the four week lockdown period. Anyone who makes a pre-payment for memberships or activities will have the four weeks added to the end of their current payment period to accommodate the temporary closure.

Our admin team is currently dealing a high volume of calls and enquiries so please be patient. Your enquiry will be dealt with as soon as possible.

Please stay safe – you can find out more information about the lockdown rules at
