Are you hosting a meeting or event and need a quality location?  Chesterfield Borough Council owns many prestigious venues in the area that are available for hire such as the Winding Wheel theatre, the Market Hall Assembly Rooms, Hasland Village Hall or the Pomegranate Theatre. 

You can also find excellent conference facilities at our two innovation centres in Tapton and Dunston, where catering can also be arranged if required.

Chesterfield market has been trading for over 800 years and we are always happy to welcome new traders. 

We run a variety of markets throughout the year from regular weekly general markets to the medieval fun day each summer, with stalls from less than £10!

Our modern, purpose-built sports and leisure centres are the perfect locations for fun, physical activity and relaxation.  The Healthy Living Centre and Queen's Park Sports Centre have a wide range of facilities and activities on offer.
